Dr Melissa Aji

Melissa completed a Master of Clinical Psychology at the Australian Catholic University and her PhD at the University of Sydney. Her PhD involved the development of a digital program to treat insomnia in adults using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). She has been involved in sleep research since 2018.

Outside of the clinic, Melissa is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Black Dog Institute leading a project in the treatment of sleep for young people. She has presented her research in sleep at numerous national and international conferences and is a published author in various sleep academic journals.

Melissa is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) including CBT for insomnia, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Melissa has trained in a variety of health settings including the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research, Concord Centre for Mental Health and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. She has experience supporting clients with insomnia, circadian rhythm disorders, depression, anxiety, stress and worry.
